Georgian Startups Welcomed at the Embassy of Georgia in Belgium
On October 18, 2024, the Embassy of Georgia in the Kingdom of Belgium hosted a delegation of Georgian startups in Brussels. The visit was part of the EU-funded project "Strengthening the Partnership between Georgia and Belgium by Promoting the Temporary Mobility of Entrepreneurs (EMLINK)", implemented by the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
During the event, H.E. Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, Ambassador of Georgia, outlined the key priorities of the Georgian Embassy in fostering bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Belgium and Georgia’s EU accession process, emphasizing the importance of aligning with EU legislation (EU Acquis) and gradually integrating in the European single market.
The Honorary Consul of Georgia in Belgium, Yannick Kalantarian, was also present. He engaged with the Georgian entrepreneurs, sharing insights into the Belgian business landscape and pledging his personal support in helping them navigate and establish themselves in the Belgian market.
The "Strengthening the Partnership between Georgia and Belgium by Promoting the Temporary Mobility of Entrepreneurs (EMLINK)" is the project of the Belgian government and aims at bolstering bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Belgium by establishing an effective framework for the temporary mobility of entrepreneurs. Implemented through ICMPD with the support of the European Union, the project also enjoys active involvement from relevant state agencies in Georgia.
