The Embassy of Georgia in Belgium hosted a Christmas Event for Children of Georgian Sunday Schools

On 17 January 2026 the Embassy of Georgia in Brussels hosted a Christmas event for children attending Georgian Sunday schools in Belgium.

Ambassador Vakhtang Makharoblishvili extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to the attendees. He expressed gratitude to the Georgian community and the representatives of the Sunday schools for their valuable efforts in preserving the Georgian language and culture abroad. The Ambassador also informed the participants about ongoing and planned state programmes aimed at supporting Georgians living abroad and promoting diaspora initiatives.

The event was attended by the students from the Georgian Sunday school at the Cathedral in Brussels, St. Nino’s Georgian Sunday school and literary theatre at the Georgian church in Antwerp and the Georgian Sunday school at the Parish of St. John in Liège.
