The Embassy hosted the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia

On February 18, 2026, at the Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mission of Georgia to the European Union, Ambassador Vakhtang Makharoblishvili hosted the representatives of the Defence Institution Building School (DIBS) and the Defence Forces of Georgia who are participating in “Defence and Security Senior Program” organized by the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael.

 

In the meeting, the Ambassador of Georgia discussed Georgia-EU relations, common security challenges, the EU’s Black Sea Strategy document, and various EU initiatives in the field of defence and security.

 

Discussions on Georgia-EU cooperation in the above mentioned spheres were also held by the Civilian Representative of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia to NATO and EU, Mr. Shalva Tevdoradze and Deputy Military Representative of Georgia to NATO and EU, Colonel Vasil Jgharkava.
